I am Ina Campan, a second-year student at ENSAE Paris ("Diplôme d'Ingénieur Grande École"), with a double bachelor in Mathematics and Computer Science from Sorbonne University, where I graduated with highest honors.

My passion for technology began in high school and has led me to pursue a career in engineering and mathematics. I am particularly interested in data science, statistics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence, and I enjoy exploring how technology can be used to benefit society and support diversity in STEM. I am also deeply interested in health, especially women's health. I consider myself a curious and hard-working learner who adapts quickly to new environments. I am bilingual in French and Romanian, proficient in English, and have been improving my Spanish skills. In my free time, I enjoy film photography.

Master's In General Engineering (ENSAE - IP Paris) : September 2024 - June 2027: "Diplôme d'Ingénieur Grande École" delivered by ENSAE Paris (GPA : 4.0), known as the best engineering school in France for finance, economics, statistics and data science.
Double Bachelor in Mathematics And CS (Sorbonne University) : September 2021 - June 2024: Graduated with highest honors, in both Mathematics (Grade : 17.395 / 20) and Computer Science (Grade : 17.325 / 20).
Scientific Baccalaureate ("Gheorghe Lazar" National College, Bucharest) : September 2017 - June 2021: Graduated from a Mathematics and Computer Science Section, Average grade : 9.6 / 10

Collège de France - Research assistant

During my first year at ENSAE, I interned at Collège de France under the supervision of Samuel Alizon and Olivier Supplisson. I deployed an R-Shiny interface to visualise the spatial epidemiology of genital ulcers attributable to herpes simplex viruses in France. This project required understanding the epidemiological context, mastering advanced statistical methods—including hierarchical Bayesian modelling and generalised additive models. I was also introduced to addressing spatial confounding through the implementation of various spatial models using INLA and inlabru. I also conducted simulations to compare model performance and ensure robustness of the results.

Olympic Family Assistant

During the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, I accompanied an assigned member of the Olympic Family (IOC members, International Federations Presidents and Secretaries General and National Olympic Committees) on his/her activities, facilitating logistics and organization. I also provided linguistic assistance to the assigned member, Mr. Barry Hendricks (President of the South African Sports Confederation, Olympic and Paralympic Committee - SASCOC).

University Tutor and Mathematics Teacher

During my third year as a Bachelor at Sorbonne (from September 2023 to June 2024), for 2 hours weekly, I carried out tutoring sessions in Data science and Advanced mathematics for around twenty first-year students. I was working on the improvement of students' working methods and was constantly searching for new teaching techniques. Starting from September 2025, I also conduct oral mathematics examinations (4 hours/week) for first-year bachelor students ("french prépa") in the MPSI and MP2I tracks at Fenelon Sainte Marie in Paris and Sainte Marie in Antony.

Internship - Data Compression Methods

Supervised by Stéphane Labbé from July to August 2023, at the Jacques-Louis Lions Laboratory in Paris, I studied an application on image compression, using the Haar basis and wavelet transformation (with the algorithm developed, compression of more than 50% for the first level). I was also Introduced to an application concerning calculations in electromagnetism, starting from the Laplace equation.

Volunteer for Adfaber (online)

Adfaber, a Romanian NGO, believes in building communities through technology and is committed to helping people, especially young people, understand and learn how to use technology for a better life. During my second and third year as a Bachelor, I created courses (e.g. Introduction to programming) and online scientific workshops for Romanian high school students. I also participated as a judge in the international competition Technovation Girls (2023 edition).
